It's up to government to take ownership of nice location or allow the local hustlers run it down. First I don't advise ladies going alone especially on lonely days like weekdays. These guys hassle you from the moment you enter the village till the rock point. They provide no facilities nor services for the N100 you drop at every stop. They perch on you all through. My kids really got scared, we had to leave almost immediately. Place is beautiful on its own.
It's a nice place to picnic and relax with friends. It has a great view too!
The newest tourist site in Abuja deep within Mpape village. It was a quarry site for construction activities till it became a man made lake. Access is a bit hard because of the nature of the area and it's not a particularly neat place, but with regulations, it can be a picnic haven. I had a nice time there. If you want to really enjoy it, here's a tip: go very early in the morning. There are less crowds and you'd actually enjoy the ambience, peace and quiet.
A beautiful place to visit!
Crushed mountain which is populary know as crush rock is a combination of nature and science. Crush mountain was a construction sight (crush rock) going deep, crushing rocks carving a beautiful tourist attraction which we have today without any thoughts or plans for this beautiful view we have today. Greatest experience was having a sunny day outside and having a cool environment within this space with the mount of sun shine. Located in the hills of mpape Abuja, Nigeria
The area isn't secured. You really can't visit there alone.
The place is dead, filled with rude hoodlums who r ready to exploit visitor's.
