The center is established : - to encourage and develop the art and science of good policy formulation, corporate governance and management in public and private sectors and both national and international spheres so that citizens can be best served; - to create a synergy through exchange of ideas with foreign institutions, organisations and other countries non-governmental organisations that will help Nigeria access modern information and ideas on how best to resolve issues of national concern; - to build a global bridge between Nigeria and other nations for sustainable national development and economic progress; - to carry on the business of capacity development, development administration, management skills and to provide services for networking and synergy development; - to engage in socio-economic research and publication and to provide support services on socio-cultural and politico-economic development for governments and non-governmental organisations and community based organisations; - to provide knowledge and information in specialized areas of governance and management with the view to improve the quality and standard of performance of leaders and managers within and outside Nigeria; - to provide facilities for interested local and foreign resource persons to meet and discuss pertinent issues on effective management of scarce resources for the benefits of corporate organisations; - to engage in all types of publishing
