The current Ekiti State Public Library is in very bad conditions. The only thing that is okay there is the physical structure of the building. Inside the building, everything is gone bad (but not beyond renovation). It can be rehabilitated. We are praying to HE, the Governor, to give us a brand new library as promised during his interactive session with the civil servants at the state Secretariat last year, while the old ancient one (inherited from Western Region) should be renovated. Ekiti State deserves a good, modern, well equipped library with modern facilities & research sections for postgraduate students & researchers. Ekiti State is a reservoir of intellectuals & academics and therefore needs a functioning well equipped modern library. I am believing God will help our Governor to fulfill his promise(s) concerning this. We are waiting patiently for HE to commission the new library at Fajuyi Civic Centre & renovate the old one. We need the two libraries in Ekiti State. I know Mr Governor will do a quality job. God help our Governor, God help Ekiti State.
