Asaba marine ferry is the connecting point to Onitsha and Onono Anam through the Niger river. It is an access point to Umuikwu, Umudora, Oroma-Etiti, Umuemu Anam and other parts of Anambra West local government area in Anambra state. Ferry crossing from this point to Onono in Anambra west is a journey of 5 minutes or less. The ferry point also serves as a open market for the sales of agricultural products coming from Anambra west and some parts of Kogi state Nigeria. Most food materials found in this place include Yams, cassava, potatoes, pepper, vegetables and some food crops peculiar to the area. Things at the ferry are usually cheap but fresh because they are direct from the farms. Fishermen do bring they catch to the market for sale.

It provides the only ferry services in Asaba plying between Asaba and Onithsa. Their services are needful and very valuable during periods of heavy traffic lockdown on the Niger bridge especially during festive seasons.
