The auditorium is big, it has comfortable chairs and the stage can be seen from anywhere a person sits. It is very close to the school's main gate. Hence, it is easy to locate. The pictures on the wall of past Vice chancellors gives a brief history of the school. The auditorium is well ventilated.

It is a nice big hall In the. University of Benin, Benin City, Easy to locate. Can be used to host many events because of the nice space and the arrangement. On a yearly bases, the University of Benin usually host their matriculation ceremony where they welcome in the new students (Freshers) in to the school.
Lots of major events like inaugural lectures, seminars and other huge events meant to attract the entire university are held here. The hall space takes over 3000 persons and has a sitting arrangement that ensures that everyone sees the stage. The view from the gallery is unique. It also houses offices and has a car parking lot that can take over 700 vehicles.

The Akin Deko Auditorium is the main Auditorium of the great university of Benin. It is one of the popular building in uniben and directly opposite the main gate. Students with issues concerning their kofa pages are expected to report at the Auditorium
The Akin Deko Auditorium is Uniben's most iconic buildings. Built majestically with mainly wood, but stands stronger than most of the buildings in the prestigious institution. The building is a hub for many events, ranging from inaugural Lectures, to symposiums, to being used as a drama theatre to being used for religious occasions and many more events. The auditorium can take house or accommodate more than a thousand people. The auditorium also has the CRP Unit of the Institution in it. Where students go to resolve matters as regarding ICT. It more or less like house the ICT department of the institution. A nice place to be. Also first year students do their physical clearance there.
