This hospital is living in its former Glory. It is presently a death trap! People that walk in alive come out Dead because of their high inefficiency, Gross malpractice,neglicence, lack of care and follow up. I have lost two close realtives that were referred to this hospital. All they do is to cut people open to find causes of ailment that could have been done through series of test. I would advise people to stop going to this hospital if you want to LIVE! Minus 100 stars to give if there was one by Google

It is a teaching hospital. I admire the fact that, for you to be placed on a particular treatment, you will have to undergo series of tests. This is usually carried out to find out what the problem is. The hospital has various departments that address diverse cases. Here, one needs to be very outspoken for your case to be attended to promptly. In addition, I will not deny the fact that the hospital still needs improvement in some of its services.

They have the best medical brains in the region but are also highly inefficient. There is no such thing as emergency in their books. Health care service here is too ‘clumsy’ and disorganized. Some of the staff are too rude and reluctant. If management can sensitize the staff to be more professional and courteous, no medical institution will come close to UBTH. They should also work on softening the bureaucracy of the place in times of emergency.
