It's a Shrine/ Temple dedicated to the worship and propitiation to thegoddess Osun. Osun is the only Female Primordial Diety amongst the 16 Primordial Dieties that was sent to the World by Olodumare (God). The Shrine is headed by Chief Mrs Akinduro, who is the highest Osun Priestess in Ife ( Iya Gbogbo Olosun Agbaye). There are other marine dieties in the Temple, such as Yemoja, Aje, Kori koto etc.
