In short, me.mi (pronounce, me my). It's a youth-led environmental movement in Kano (North-West), Nigeria. Poised with the mandate to cause change in environmental perception through effective advocacy, empowerment programs, capacity building and social innovative projects. The Organizations focuses on accomplishing access to clean water and sanitation, community health and hygiene, food security and nutrition, renewable clean energies, and mitigation of climate change and ecosystem prosperity as it promotes the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. Activities within the organization targets on capacity building, communal projects, empowerment opportunities and civil society engagement as it revolve round programs like; Environmental Safety Club, Environmental Arts, Environmental Writes and Environmental Community Outreaches. Since inception in 2016, the me.mi team have inspired educated over 2000 youths through online webinars (technical sessions), symposiums, community projects, social media awareness/campaign and discussion and interactive sessions during national and international conferences. One of the recent achievement was the selection of one of the secondary schools that champions the "Environmental Safety Club"​ in Kano, to be selected among the finalist to represent the state in project competition for the "Beyond School Challenge"​. Also, one of our team members was honored with a fellowship training on Civic Leadership to amplify the organization's goal in projecting clean, healthy and sustainable environment in Nigeria.
