Good service and the ambience is quite nice. A touch of luxury with its furnitures and lamps. The food is so tasty and the set of maki makes our tummy full.

Authentic Japanese experience @izanagirestaurant ___________________________________________ ORDER * Californian Roll - 5,500 * Dumplings (Shrimps)- 5,700 * Seafood Yakisoba - 10,700 * Izanagi Sunrise -4,500 ___________________________________________ Californian Roll. This was soo good. Literally my favorite order that day. It’s a makizushi ‘sushi roll’ that had sushi rice (cooked) on the outside then cucumber, crab (raw) & avocado. It was rolled inside out as well. It came with soy sauce. ___________________________________________ Dumplings (shrimps) Basically this was a piece of dough that had shrimps in it. It also came with its own dipping sauce. ___________________________________________ Seafood Yakisoba Yakisoba is basically a stir fried noodle dish with vegetables/beef/chicken etc. But this was seafood yakisoba, so it had calamari, shrimps & vegetables. This had the sweet Worcestershire sauce that elevated the taste of this dish making it savory, tangy & sweet. Absolutely loved the balance of ingredients this dish accommodated. ___________________________________________ Izanagi Sunrise This tasted like tequila sunrise without alcohol so basically was orange juice & grenadine syrup.

Best sushi in Lagos so far. Wait time is also decent. The desert is amazing . One of my favourite places to eat.

What can I say...the only Japanese thing about the place was it's over-priced menu. Zero ambience and Zero Feng shui, there was a weird Pablo Escobar poster for some reason. And the staff doesn't understand a hick of Japanese, I mean....I get it's nigeria.... but they don't really have anything else you get! The food had zero presentation and creativity, honestly I've made better designed pieces in my kitchen. I'll try the other Japanese restaurants and hopefully find something that's actually Japanese. The meal below is apparently N7,000. And the place has such a nice name too...3

Izanagi is a nice and cosy restaurant, nice scenery for pictures, lots of flowers around, the staff are mostly Nigerians, they have iPad menu as well as physical menu, the food is a bit costly, it’s purely Japanese, it’s taste delightful, the portions are just okay and not a lot... The tempura cheese cake and the berry drink was The highlight of the night There’s available parking space. I’ll give it a 4.8/ 5 in all good food and great vibes

If you're not a fan of proper Japanese, you won't like this place. Nigerian Japanese food does not taste the same as authentic Japanese. Be ready to experience different flavours from what you're used to. There's a private space you can have a mid sized group The service is great. And the drinks too

The food was delicious and the staff was amazing. Was there for dinner and we ordered a bottle of sweet wine, a salad for starter and forgot to take a picture because it looked to yummy. It was good we decided to share the starter because the portion was large and good for 2 people. It had some crunchy beef, tomatoes, lettuce etc in it. For mains we had the land and sea combo to share which had beef, lobster and rice to go with, it was delicious of course with my chilli on the side. We ordered glass of cocktail and it was really great. Now the dessert was all that, we had the chocolate lava cake and ice cream. It was like a brownie and ice cream that was extra delicious, warm and crunchy on the outside with a delicious vanilla ice cream. The lava was the melting of the ice cream on the warm cake. Almost everyone was ordering that so I guess it's a best seller. When I got there they were working on their outdoor space and I took a picture of that tree. This tree is beautiful and provides a natural cover over the out door space. It looked amazingly beautiful. This restaurant is a MUST visit in Lagos. Keep it up.
