"HARNESSING NIGERIA'S FLARE GAS FOR SUSTAINABLE VALUE & WEALTH CREATION" The mission of Lynben Energy & Gas working as part of the NGFCP process is to be a leader in the deployment of "flare gas capture to LNG for power". Lynben Energy & Gas will contribute to the reduction in serious damage currently done to the environment by emissions from routing flaring and provide desperately needed "low carbon" fuel for the generation of electric power in the form of LNG. The policy position of the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) is that gas flaring is unacceptable and the FGN has initiated a number of actions to reaffirm its commitment to ending the practice of gas flaring in our oil fields. Specifically, the FGN has ratified the Paris Climate Change Agreement, and is a signatory to the Global Gas Flaring Partnership (GGFR) principles for global flare-out by 2030 whilst committing to a national flare-out target by year 2020. The Lynben Energy & Gas Board have more than 150 years combined experience in the design, build and operation of oil, gas and petrochemical facilities. As part of the Lyndon Energy Group www.lyndonenergy.com, the company is committed to "enlightened decarbonisation", in every aspect of its activities. Lynben Energy & Gas is developing a number of small scale LNG facilities co-located at production sites where gas is currently flared (routinely) providing no economic benefit and damaging the environment. Liquefaction technology makes gas more compact and easy to transport. With the development of LNG technology and markets, it is expected that local industries will convert from the use of diesel to gas. However, the increasing problem of pipeline sabotage by vandals—especially in the Niger Delta area, where most of the country’s oil is found—makes locating LNG plants near hydrocarbon sources a preferred option. With small-scale LNG plants, continuous LNG production and subsequent transportation to customers are achievable via truck
