Samuel Olutuyi Foundation (The “Foundation” or “SOF”) is a nonprofit organization established and promoted by Pastor (Dr.) Samuel Olagoke Olutuyi, supported by his wife and children. SOF was established out of Samuel Olutuyi’s deep desire to continue making impact and leaving a lasting legacy. It is worthy to note that Samuel Olutuyi has over three decades been carrying out some of the foundation’s objectives in his individual capacity, one of which was through the Ogo Community Scholarship scheme that has given scholarship to pupils and students of the Ogo Community in Irun Akoko, Ondo State. Our creed is taken from Martin Luther King’s Jnr quote “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, What are you doing for others?” Our main focus areas are: Access to Quality Education :The Foundation’s access to quality education will provide support to those who are willing to go to school but cannot, due to lack of funds. SOF’s focus will be on the girl child education. Health & wellness Initiative: Our support is rooted in education and financial assistance. Civic Orientation Initiative: Our civic orientation initiative will seek to engender trust between citizens and government, create involved citizens instead of demanding customers, increase the awareness and benefits of volunteering and community service, increase advocacy to for civic literacy to be introduced in public schools. Entrepreneurship Development :Through education and financing we will assist and promote willing entrepreneurs to help them start and grow their business. Studies show that women entrepreneurs face gender-based barriers to starting and growing their businesses. It is with this in mind that the Foundation will focus more on the “Womanpreneur”.
