The advertisement and name suggest an upbeat contemporary hangout; I found Sumiram'Le Bistro to be quaint, frozen in time. The ambience is reminiscent of 70s-era Nigeria, post-independence, heavily laden with references to the past. I guess this would appeal to tourists who want a feel of " " Africa " " ,who want a sense of the Safari, who would like to take pictures of " "nature" ", who would like to experience the scenario of an African village hut, eat out of clay vessels, and enjoy the wildlife. I definitely see the appeal to the expatriate community. The restaurant is quite comfortable, the menu is basic, largely Indian, but sufficient in portion, fairly priced. Daily buffet ( lunch ) is available at N5000 per adult (March 2021), N3000 per child, with a bustling restaurant on sundays. Meals were slow to arrive and the customer service was a drag, but the staff are courteous. I'm a Nigerian millenial with a bent for modern art and minimalist contemporary decor, so everything about this place was far removed from my tastes. I'd recommend it for anyone with an ethnocentric flair, who'd like to sample Indian cuisine.
