A fantastic place for culture and history. This is the palace of the Paramount ruler of the Ẹgba people of southwest, Nigeria, a Yoruba stock. The palace ground is almost always a beehive of activities all year round.

Alake's Palace gave me joy. There was a sense of pride I felt just by being there, the rich cultural presence was potent, very hard to miss though I'm not from Abeokuta I felt like I belonged there, it reminded me so much of my home town, Esie, especially the artifacts beautifully assembled made me feel at home.
Amazing place to be.
Nothing to see there... Until museum is open and available, it isn't a tourist sore at all.
Just right in front of the Centenary building. Good place for a small show
Very peaceful and quiet environment..
Simply splendid... A wonderful place
The egbaland palace ground was cool and quiet but the museum was under construction when I visited. It's free to enter the main gate and take pictures around but no entry at the main palace gate except on appointment. The roads are good and the place has been given a major uplift. It was nice visiting here.
