This school was founded in 14th day of February, 1938 and has trained so many prominent persons across the length and width of Nigeria and beyond. The school is cosmopolitan since from day it was founded. People from many tribes and race have either attended or taught in the school. I met two Indians - Chopra and Dhalla as teachers. I also met a Ghanaian - Mr. Kuma as a Mathematics teacher. Europeans especially Britons have administered this school just as Igbos too. The students span through many tribes such as Kalabari, Ogoni, Igbo, Ibibio, Ikwerre, Hausa, Fulani, Yoruba, Efik, Nembe, Ijaw, Cameroonians, Ghanaians, etc. The school does not have a religious bias despite the fact that it is within Christian dominated area and being founded by Christians. I attended this school and today, I am a teacher there too.
Love it.
