'Yar Adua quarters got its name during late Musa 'Yaradua, the former President of Nigeria between 2007 and 2009. He was the first President that doubled the Salary and Allowances of Nigerian Police, which enabled most of them especially those that resided in Kano State to buy a plot of land and named it YARADUA QUARTERS for showing their gratitude and loyalty to the then President.
