They have some artefacts in here but the place needs more attention from the government. It could be way better. Visited it about 10months ago and I wasn't impressed. Wanted to bring my kids but there is really not much history to share with them here.

Easily accessible with a good number of artifacts. The environment is beautiful. Enthusiastic guides take you through the gallery. Parking available. There's also a souvenir shop for art and craft items on sale.
The National Museum Rivers State, is a treasure trove of the culture and history of the Rivers People. Although not given the priority it deserve by the State Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the museum still holds a shadow of the rich culture and traditions of the rivers man. It is located opposite the popular Delta Hotels, and few meters away from the Rivers State Braithwaite Memorial Hospital, on the West, and the Port Harcourt Mall, on the East. The Museum has a Kitchen where Rivers native delicacies are prepared. If you want a real native soup with fresh fish and other sea foods such as oyster, lobster, prawns, periwinkle, crabs, clam, mussel, etc; the kitchen is the best place to visit. It also has a mini-hall that hosts small club or association meetings
Very nice place to seat , relax and eat quality meals. Although the structure of the museum needs a lot of work
The place is closed
A nice place to keep intouch with our history and heritage.
The curators are good at doing their job. The place also have nice artifacts for history references.
I had a taste of the true Niger Delta value to Nigeria.
